Paul Pierce Mocks LA Fans With “Let’s Go Red Sox” And “Let’s Go Celtics” Chants

To nobody’s surprise, the addition of LeBron James has made LA fans even more insufferable than usual.  If you need proof, look no further than their reaction to last night’s win loss to the Rockets at the Staples Center.

The Lakers fell 124-115 in a game that included a heated altercation between long-time rivals Rajon Rondo and Chris Paul.  Afterwards, LA’s fans seemed a little too fired up on ESPN’s postgame show considering their team had just lost on their home floor to fall to 0-2.

Paul Pierce had some fun with the rowdy, delusional crowd by breaking out a “let’s go Red Sox” chant just an hour after the Dodgers had beaten the Brewers to advance to the World Series.  He also threw a “let’s go Celtics” in there for good measure:

There’s no explanation for the level of excitement those fans were showing.  It had nothing to do with the Dodgers winning Game 7 because all of their chants were Lakers-related.  I get the thrill of having LeBron but wait until he wins you a game before you lose your minds.

With Bron Bron on the Lakers and the Sox going up against the Dodgers in the World Series, the Boston-LA rivalry is about to reach levels that we haven’t seen since the 2008 and 2010 NBA Finals.
