The Bruins are the hottest team in hockey
Since starting the season 1-1-1, the Bruins have gone on to win nine out of 10 games. They now have the best record in the NHL at 10-1-2 after beating the Rangers 1-0 at Madison Square Garden on Friday night.
Maybe they were listening to all the talk about their style of winning being unsustainable, because they finally finished the job in regulation.
Halak recorded the shut-out on a night off for Tuukka. The lone goal came from Nick Ritchie. Most importantly, they showed toughness and grit.
The game featured multiple fights, starting when Charlie McAvoy took exception to a cheap boarding hit by the Rangers’ Jacob Trouba on the Bruins’ Jakub Zboril:

About one second before Frederic and Lemieux squared off, Nick Ritchie scored the only goal of the game:

Halak and the Bruins held off New York in the third period to grab another W as they continue to build confidence and momentum. They’re a skilled team that clearly isn’t afraid to get physical. Looks like we could be in for a hell of a ride.
