Isaiah Thomas Leaves Matt Barnes In The Dust (Video)

Isaiah Thomas is arguably the quickest player in the NBA.  He has a knack for making defenders look like they’re stuck in mud, especially when goes to his signature hesitation move where he turns his back to the defender for a split second and then takes off to the hoop quicker than their brain can process which direction he went in.

That’s exactly what he did Wednesday night to Matt Barnes in the Celtics’ 116-96 win over the Grizzlies:

It was one of many highlights that came during Isaiah’s 16-point third quarter, a quarter in which he outscored Memphis’ entire team by four points.

For the Celtics, it was their 14th straight home victory.  The last time they won that many in a row in Boston Larry Bird was still playing.

They’re now 20-7 in their last 27 games after going 19-19 in their first 38.  They remain a game ahead of Miami for third place in the East.

Enjoy the win and check back for a recap tomorrow.
