Are Patriots fans rooting for Tom Brady to get his seventh ring?
Having January and February off is an unfamiliar feeling for Pats fans. What do we do now? Not watch the NFL playoffs? Pick a new favorite team for the next few weeks?
It appears that the majority of New Englanders have turned to their lifetime allegiance with Tom Brady. If the Pats can’t bring it home, TB12 getting his seventh ring would be the next best thing.
A poll I took on Twitter a few days ago confirmed this notion:

This is mostly due to the fact that Brady is an icon in these parts and will forever have our support. There’s also an element of pettiness due to Bill Belichick’s inability to surround Tom with weapons, especially during his final seasons as a Patriot. Building an elite receiving corps like the one in Tampa would’ve been a great way to reward the greatest quarterback of all-time after nearly two decades of dominance.
