Bruins Beat Lightning 4-0, Clinch A Playoff Spot For The First Time In Three Years (VIDEOS)
The Bruins won their sixth in a row Monday night, beating the Tampa Bay Lightning 4-0 at TD Garden in Tuukka Rask’s eighth shutout of the year. The B’s have now officially clinched a playoff spot for the first time since 2014.
Tuukka and David Pastrnak were the standout players in this one. Pasta scored his 33rd and 34th goals of the season, tying him for the eighth most in the NHL. Drew Stafford and Zdeno Chara also scored.

The B’s were able to get the win without their best player for the final two periods. Brad Marchand was ejected in the first for spearing Jake Dotchin right below the belt. As much as I love Marchy, he’s not exactly helping his reputation as a dirty player with this one:
After looking like they were going to cough up their season for the third year in a row, the Bruins have saved their season by going on their longest winning streak since 2014, their last playoff year. It’ll be great to have playoff hockey back in Boston.
