Estee Nack releases his Griselda Records debut “Nacksaw Jim Duggan”
During the early stages of the pandemic in 2020, I wrote about Estee Nack, his legacy in his home city of Lynn, and his endless grind that led to a co-sign tweet and eventual collaboration with Griselda Records’ Westside Gunn in 2019.
Fast forward a little more than three years, and the Tragic Allies emcee is now an official member of Griselda, one of the most prominent hip-hop collectives in the world. He recently released his debut album under the label, “Nacksaw Jim Duggan”, executively produced by Westside Gunn.
Nack and Griselda have always been a seamless fit. Underground rappers who put their heads down and worked their asses off for years before really being accepted by the industry on mainstream level in their mid to late thirties. And they’ve all mastered the art of rapping over drumless beats, helping to curate the modern underground sound and setting a new bar for what elite lyricism sounds like in 2023.
The release of “Nacksaw Jim Duggan” is a milestone moment for Estee Nack, and for his loyal fans and followers it’s another addition to one of the strongest discographies in hip-hop.
