Jon Lester Deserves A Shoutout For This Walk-Off Bunt A Few Days Ago (VIDEO)

I know I’m a few days late on this, but our old friend Jon Lester had the highlight of his offensive career last Sunday when he drove in the winning run with a two-strike suicide squeeze in the bottom of the 12th of the Cubs’ 7-6 win over the Mariners:

Aside from this contribution at the plate, Lester has the seventh best record in the National League this year at 11-4 and the 13th best ERA at 2.95.  The lowest ERA on the Red Sox is Steven Wright’s at 3.20, so it would be nice if we could have a starting pitcher as good as good as Jon Lester.  On the bright side, we got Yoenis Cespedes for the last two months of a last-place season.  Thanks Ben Cherington.
