The Celtics Beat The Warriors In Oakland For The Second Year In A Row (Highlights)
Last April, the Celtics ended the Golden State Warriors’ 54-game home winning streak. On Wednesday night, they became the first team in 56 games to hold the Warriors to under 100 points at home.
Coming off two bad losses in a row to the Suns and the Clippers, the C’s gave their best defensive effort of the season. They held Golden State’s high-powered offense to 86 points, coming away with the 99-86 victory.
This was the epitome of a perfect team win. Nobody had eye-popping numbers but everyone contributed. Isaiah led the way with 25, Kelly Olynyk had 17, Avery Bradley had 12, and Al Horford had 10 as well as 6 rebounds, 6 assists, and 2 steals. Jae Crowder only made three field goals but two of them were the two biggest shots of the game, plus he had 10 rebounds.
There were a lot of contributions made that won’t show up on the stat sheet. Horford played an unbelievable game defensively, and the team as a whole put together some timely stops.

The Celtics are now the only team to beat the Warriors at home in each of the last two regular seasons. But as great as the win was, it won’t feel so special anymore if the Celtics don’t finish off the road trip with another W in Denver on Friday night. Ending the trip at 3-2 would be a huge accomplishment after losing two in a row.
