The Senators’ Twitter Tried To Roast The Bruins During Game 1 And It Backfired
The Bruins’ second period on Wednesday night was atrocious. There’s no way around that fact. It was the first time since 1939 that the B’s went an entire period without a shot on net in a playoff game.
With that being said, there are three periods in hockey. Apparently no one told that to the Senators’ social media team, who prematurely mocked the Bruins after the second:
The Bruins failed to record a shot on goal in the second period.
Can someone in the advanced stat community tell us if that is good?

After the Bruins took a 2-1 lead in the third and ultimately won the game, the Senators’ twitter got answers from not only the advanced stat community, but from Bruins fans everywhere who were ready to throw the tweet back in their face:
The Senators have failed to record a Stanley Cup in 90 years.
Can someone in the advanced stat community tell us if that is good?
